Looking for a Job?

Are you between the ages of 14 and 24 years old living in Contra Costa County? Do you need a summer job? Do you want to learn more about jobs, work and what you might want to do as a career? We might be able to help get you a job for the summer (up to 120 hours of work) and put up to $1,000 in your pocket!

In order to participate in our program you must meet certain program eligibility requirements. Contact one of our counselors and they will help you determine if you meet the program requirements.

Other requirements - you must WANT to work this summer. And you need to put effort into being a good employee.  Have more questions? See our FAQs and check out some of the jobs we have and see how to get started.

Hiring a Young Adult for the Summer

If you are a government agency, non-profit, or private business, and you want to hire a young adult for the summer we can help you get started. We can pay the young adult's wages to work in a job at your worksite.

Sound too good to be true? It's not! You will be asked to provide a job description for the position, including the physical requirements. Positions are limited to 120 hours, and may not displace current employees, or replace laid off workers.

As an employment program for young adults you will be required to complete a worksite agreement that will outline what you are asking of the employee, and confirm with you that the wages and worker's compensation insurance are paid by American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds.

You will also be required to attend and worksite supervisor orientation, and complete an evaluation at the conclusion of the young adult's employment.  See our FAQ's and set up an employer account to get started.
